Description
Mount Aso willow has a compact habit. Although it is a slow growing shrub, it most definitely deserves a place in your landscape.
Catkins form in mid February and as soon as they open you will realize why this little gem is such a great variety of willow. We love it. The catkins open up many times when there is still snow on the ground. The contrast of the bright pink catkins and white winter snow makes a dramatic statement. These little pops of color provide joy at a time of year when we need it most as we eagerly await the arrival of Spring. When temperatures are warm and the catkins are full of pollen, bees from all around visit this attractive willow variety.
Each cutting is 8″ long.
Willow cuttings are easy to root and they thrive in moist soils.
